Measuring Instructions for our leather collars
In order to ensure our customers purchase the proper size we highly recommend all customers measure their dog before placing an order. Shipping fees for exchanges or returns are non-refundable. Please measure in inches. Please measure your dog’s neck snugly and use a fabric measuring tape. If you can slide a finger in between the measuring tape and your pets neck, it is too loose. If you are pinching their neck or folding skin it is too tight. When measuring a dog with long hair, leave the hair as it would lay when he/she would be wearing a collar. We recommend adding 1/2" to 1" onto your pets neck measurement to ensure a proper fit. For example, if my dog's neck is 15", I would want to add 1/2" to 1" on giving me a total of 15 1/2" to 16". I would need to order the MEDIUM collar because it fits my range of 15 1/2" to 16". An alternative measuring option is for you to measure a current collar. This ONLY works with metal buckle collars. You cannot use this method with clip collars. For metal buckle collars, extend a measuring tape and lay it down beside your dog's unbuckled collar. Measure from the edge of the buckle to the hole that your pet uses the most.
